Levi’s is Reissuing its Oldest Archive Jeans

Nine Rivets.

Since 1853, Levi’s has been redefining the denim industry and has since amassed a storied archive collection of some of the most important jeans in fashion history. In celebration of their success, Levi’s is reissuing their 9 rivet jeans.

Levi’s is recreating the jeans stitch for stitch, applying design cues from a pair that lives solely in the Smithsonian Museum in America. Staying true to the original pair, a mere 9 rivets adorn the pants throughout- whereas later generations used 11 – with other features including a single-stitch construction, one back pocket, and exposed silver rivets. A lighter indigo has been applied to the denim, worn by models with the cuff up, exposing a creme undertone. Space for your pocket watch is sewn into the waistband, fasted by sewn-on buttons, and a few other utility goodies.

The Levi’s 9 rivet jeans are limited to just 800 pairs and will be sold exclusively in Hong Kong for just over $500 USD.
