Pharrell Williams is juggling a lot right now, and he’s still managed to release a 6-piece set of Adidas Sambas under his Humanrace line. Judging from his choice of silhouette, Adidas is going gung-ho keeping the Samba hype alive and well.
Titled the “Alumin” series, Pharrell opts for a clean approach to the Samba. A notable absentee from these pairs is the oversized, fold-over tongue, with Pharrell reimagining the low-cut design with a representative colour palette. Muted green, yellow, red, blue, black, and white accent the three-stripe logo, inside lining, and heel tab on each individual pair. A creme and beige blend of canvas and suede dons the upper, along with the sole. It may not be the most exciting colourway, and certainly not the brightest we’ve seen from Pharrell, but the “Alumin” series is a potential staple – or everyday driver – for fans of the brand this spring and summer. I guess Summer 2024 is still being dominated by the Samba.
The adidas Humanrace “Alumin” series is set to release tomorrow, May 14th, across select boutiques.
