Los Angeles brand Vayder have announced the hire of former 1989 Studio Founder Chaz Jordan to act as creative advisor for the contemporary line. Jordan is set to introduce his inaugural collection this June in an intimate setting during Paris Fashion Week.
Having first started his fashion career in 2011 at RSVP Gallery, working alongside Virgil Abloh and Don C. At 22, while living in Paris, he launched his first brand, Au Courant, and two years later transitioned it into Ih Nom Uh Nit. Jordan rapidly grew this brand, leading to its acquisition. This allowed him to focus on his namesake brand, 1989 STUDIO, which debuted in 2021.
Now, as he embarks on the next major chapter of his celebrated career, Jordan is excited to bring his vision of a high-end, contemporary line to life with Vayder in Los Angeles. Check out the creative shoot, artistically directed by Chaz, below. He will design all new collections moving forward!
