A Spezial Moment.

Marking a decade of the adidas Spezial, luxury and streetwear retailer END. have teamed up with the iconic sportswear outfit for their new “By the Sea” collection.

Proving to be a debut collaboration for END. and the signature adidas Spezial silhouette, this latest venture for SS24 sees the Gary Aspden founded sneaker style take the spotlight, arriving in the an eleven piece capsule collection, including three takes on the SPZL line. The “By the Sea” theme acts as an ode to a staple of British culture – the seaside town – nodding to the heritage of both the retailer and adidas SPZL in celebration of their 10th year.

The collection itself reimagines typical adidas pieces and typical design DNA by reworking the garments to reflect contemporary products, with a trio of revitalised footwear classics continuing to add to the Spezial lineage. Starting with the Moscrop 2 SPZL sneaker, this more robust silhouette make its return in a sandy colourway, arriving with its trademark Cordura uppers and pigskin suede overlays, whilst a Dellinger Web Sole instils design cues from the adidas Infinity. Debuting in a more uniformed “Chalk White/Tribe Green” colourway, the classic Wilsy SPZL boasts nubuck uppers that are accentuated with tonal mesh panels, offering up a vintage sportswear look. Lastly, the END. x adidas SPZL’s take on the Samba Deco SPZL proves to be the pick of the bunch as a rich navy-blue pigskin suede covers the model and green Three Stripes hit the midfoot and heel, whilst subtle co-branded details stick to the tongue and insole.

Furthermore, END. and SPZL’s “By The Sea” apparel selection serves up a glimpse of the past as heritage colour palettes spread across the range, with a key highlight from the selection including  the Calavadella Jacket, which sits pretty in a “Tribe Green” recycled polyester fabric whilst boasting a removable hood, four bellow pockets, a drawstring waist, in addition to adidas SPZL woven brand patches to the chest and wrist. Additional blasts from the past garments include adidas heritage garments like the retro “Cardboard Brown” Track Top and Track Pant co-ord, two co-branded jersey t-shirts, a Meanwood Polo Shirt, a Bucket Hat, as well as a classic Cap.

The END. x adidas SPZL “By The Sea” collection is available in-store now at END. Newcastle and will release online on August 9th.
