Reimagining Everyday Essentials.
HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “Amid Impasto of Horizons,” as the Guest of Honour at Pitti Immagine Uomo 108. Held at Florence’s historic Villa Medicea della Petraia, a site steeped in Medici history, the collection was heavily inspired by Italy’s diverse natural and cultural landscapes. Taking cues from everyday life, tthe collection redefines conventional dressing at Pitti Uomo, ushering in a pivotal new era for HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE.
Standouts from the collection include an asymmetric ‘painter’s’ waistcoat, complete with numerous compartments and pockets, perfectly designed for brushes and paints, while also being practical for daily essentials. Various voluminous jackets that ingeniously transform into their own transport bags and a tailored series in the collection, featuring a non-clinging, linen-like textures with a subtle sheen to them—ideal for spring/summer.
Beginning at Pitti Immagine Uomo, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE is launching a global “OPEN STUDIO” initiative. This program will take the brand to new locations and events, fostering connections with local communities and the international creative scene. Inspired by artists’ open studios, this concept allows HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE to share an immersive experience of its design and making with a global audience.
