Time to fly.
If there’s one house that knows how to stage a fashion show, it’s Chanel. From Karl Lagerfeld’s unforgettable giant sets: a beach, a supermarket, a rocket launch and everything in between, the house has always understood that a runway should be more than just a runway. Matthieu Blazy seems to get that instinct too. For Chanel, the clothes might be the main event, but the world built around them is what makes the audience actually feel something. And for Spring/Summer 2027, that idea took flight, quite literally.
Titled “Taking Flight,” the collection saw the Grand Palais transformed into an almost surreal skyward landscape, with enormous sculptures of seagulls suspended in mid-flight across the space. Underneath, a vast marble floor added another layer of contrast, reflecting the light and amplifying the feeling of movement as models walked through the installation
