Need that trench bad.
Is there anything more British than Palace and Burberry? Probably not. In any case, the two iconic labels are joining forces on a new capsule collection to celebrate the opening of Palace’s new London flagship store on Poland Street.
Spanning 250 square metres, the new space takes inspo from some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including the British Museum and the stained-glass windows found in traditional churches. True to form, Palace has put its own twist on things, with vintage flicks, original shop references and OG artwork appearing throughout.
The interiors bring together concrete, steel, oak panelling and parquet flooring, with plenty of nods to the skate label’s roots thrown in. These include a Tri-Ferg-shaped oak bench, seating akin to its Manor Place store and even a Rolls-Royce grille salvaged from the imprint’s Brewer Street shop.
As for the Burberry linkup, the 10-piece capsule is exclusive to the new location. Leading the collab is a honey beige Camden car coat featuring countryside-inspired artwork, as well as a cashmere Burberry Check scarf complete with Palace branding. The drop also includes T-shirts, a shirt, shorts, a hooded jacket, a cap and even a skateboard, all dressed in the house’s signature check, plus a polo embroidered with a Poland Street graphic.
In addition, a separate London-exclusive drop sees Palace release limited-edition apparel and accessories marked with the number eight, a nod to the new store’s address.
You can cop the full Burberry x Palace collection on 5 November.
