Edward Enninful Makes His Fashion Design Debut with Moncler Genius

British fashion editor Edward Enninful makes his debut into fashion design with the “Moncler x EE72” collection, part of Moncler Genius, a project where the Italian brand collaborates with the greatest creative minds of our time, both established and emerging.

Enninful, who has spent over three decades championing diversity in the industry as fashion director of i-D, editor-in-chief of British Vogue, and later as Vogue’s Global Creative and Cultural Advisor, has just launched his global media and entertainment company, EE72, with Moncler as its very first co-creator.

For his debut Genius collection, Enninful envisions the wardrobe of a stylish global adventurer: a bold hero equipped to navigate three extreme terrains — windstorms, sandstorms and snowstorms.

For windstorms, Enninful designed an elegant trench coat with a detachable glossy puffer and hood, effortlessly styled with bold Cloche sunglasses. Sandstorms inspire a sleek scuba dress paired with a sculptural hooded cape and sweeping scarf, while snowstorms call for layered knits beneath an oversized merino jacket, completed with a balaclava and Trailgrip EE72 boots — a nod to the collection’s name, derived from Enninful’s initials and birth year.

In this collection, high-fashion attitude meets supreme functionality and forward-thinking modularity, fusing Moncler’s technical expertise and mastery of the elements. The elemental spirit of Moncler x EE72 by Edward Enninful comes alive in a striking new campaign shot by Tyler Mitchell, starring Adut Akech.
