HBA goes luxurious.
Hood By Air has brought something different from what we have known to see before. Their latest showcase at the Pitti Uomo showed a more playful and colourful side to the brand and its designer Shayne Oliver has moved away from the usual over the top bold graphics and prints that have been synonymous to the brand with a more luxurious and cultured take on streetwear but still possessing their futuristic identity with a more refined look. Model walked the runway in strange look with long blonde exaggerated eyelashes and even an afro in the mix. The collection featured tons of leather pieces as they were going for a more tailored look which many were surprised by, coming from a sort of cult streetwear brand that embodies youth culture. There were some very cool details such as elongated colour blocking topcoats, loose-fitted trousers, faux-fur lapels and coloured hair detailing on jacket, all styled in the brand’s androgynous aesthetic. The look was very much about being experimental but at the same time keeping it luxurious.
