Inspired by a subculture of fearless Japanese bikers, otherwise known as Bosozoku, Icosae’s SS17 explored themes of freedom, individuality and a lack of limitations. As a result, the collection is the epitome of today’s youth in tapered trousers and sleek slogan-infested tee’s. It features a range of over-sized trench coats and cut-out sweats and bomber jackets paired with khaki shorts, sheer printed shirts and drawstring belts.
Such elements explored in Icosae SS17 include the art of deconstruction, unusual tailoring and the use of luxury fabrics such as tweed against an iridescent embroidery and graphic print.
