Y/Project reveal more than just a collection at their SS17 show at Paris Fashion Week.
Silks, denim and revealing waistbands are rolled in to one as designer Glenn Martens showcases the SS17 Y/Project collection. A fan of gender fluidity, Martens expresses his men in pastels suits, silk shirts and floral sheer tank tops. Denim holds a strong place throughout the collection as oversized jeans with questionable waistbands walk down the runway. Details consist of cuffed jeans, ribbed jumpers, deconstructed t-shirts and a lot of weaving. Oversized, undersized and arguably not sized at all, Martens aims to create a collection that produces “sweeter, happy people.” Can we argue with that?
