New artistic director takes on UNIQLO FW16.
Christophe Lemaire, once the Hérmes designer, has recently taken on the role of Artistic Director of UNIQLO, who are about to launch their fall/winter 16 collection, titled UNIQLO U.
The collection consists of 87 new pieces; 52 women’s and 35 men’s. The line-up introduces a ‘basic’ collection of sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies, polos, trousers and smart blazers, shirts and outerwear. In addition to this, UNIQLO is releasing a scarf, a sling bag and mittens, all of which following a quilted trend.
The colour palette holds tones of greys, burgundies, blues, greens and browns; a very fall/winter appropriate assortment.
The UNIQLO U collection will be available in stores and online on the 30th September, accompanied by a promotional video which can be viewed above.
