Junya Watanabe debuted her Autumn/Winter 2017 collection at Paris Fashion Week, showing a varied yet easy to wear range. Patchwork detailed jackets are an overarching theme that appears in many different styles such as suit jackets with shoulder detailing and bomber jackets. A collaboration with outerwear brand The North Face features bold and, for The North Face, rather unusual designs such as a checkered jacket with bright yellow panels and a bright red jacket. A few pieces with workwear brand Carhartt also appear as well as a few loud trousers including black wide legged jeans covered in large white lettering, checkered jeans, beanies, shoes and more. Junya Watanabe has recreated everyday looks by mixing smart pieces with a sportswear and streetwear twist, such as layering a hoodie underneath a suit jacket, to create a unique collection.
