IKEA celebrates Blue Bag 30th anniversary

30 years of FRAKTA.

IKEA broke the fashion world with its signature $0.99 FRAKTA bag, first (possibly unknowingly) reinterpreted by Balenciaga, then transformed into iterations of sneakers, masks and hoodies by Instagram users and fashion connoisseurs.

To celebrate the bag’s 30th anniversary, the Scandinavian multinational furniture company pays homage to what it calls “the most hardworking bag in the world”, featuring it in a minute-long video campaign titled “The Blue Bag.” The signature tote’s design, function and quality are all honoured, pictured in a range of usages.
