It's out of this world.
Heron Preston’s last Autumn/Winter collection was an Italian-made selection inspired by the designers own personal style. However, this year it looks like Preston is going for something completely different when it comes to his Autumn/Winter offerings, in fact, the innovative designer who is never scared to set himself a challenge has decided to draw the inspiration from NASA, as well as influencer culture and self-declared celebrity, consequently leading to the collection’s name, “Public Figure”.
As for what we see in the collection, Preston has started to explore unknown territory through the production of luxury handbags, footwear, and eyewear, categories the designer has generally stayed away from in the past. When it comes to the designs, we can see bold colours and patterns make an appearance amongst the pieces such as snakeskin, full fur items, and even a silver denim jacket that, of course, comes from the NASA inspired variety. Although if you thought that was all the creative was bringing to this season you will be mistaken as Preston has also worked in conjunction with Carhartt WIP to produce an array of collaborative products such as fanny packs, beanies, jackets, vests and pants, all treated and splattered with paint for a deep wear look.
All in all the designer appears to have put his focus particularly on the concept of crafting the covetable workwear aesthetic with new luxury materials. You can take a detailed look at the collection below.
