Are you looking forward to it?
It doesn’t seem long ago that we saw Prada and MR PORTER team up to produce collaborative footwear yet the two are meeting again to create a capsule collection inspired by bowling. The 32-piece collection is set to be released on the 25th of April and will not only feature apparel, but also shoes.
As for the designs involved, primarily the two have taken the majority of their inspiration from the eras in which bowling was at its peak of popularity, these being more specifically the 1950’s an 1980’s, two ages I think we can agree will offer a vast array of interesting aesthetics. When it comes to garments we are set to see an appearance from loafers, cap-toe Derbies, creepers, cap-toe sneakers, camp-collar shirts, polo shirts, cardigans, blazers, jackets, trousers, and tees, all of which will be adorned by forward thinking visuals such as Hawaiian patterns, gingham checks, unique Prada bowling logos and pop-cartoon designs.
Take a look at the promotional video and imagery below, then get ready for the collection’s drop that is set to take place on MR PORTER’s online shop on the 25th of April.
