Hosted in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this year’s theme, “Fashion Is Art”, was interpreted in a variety of ways. John Galliano made his first runway debut under Zara and Olivier Rousteing dressed Beyoncé (perhaps hinting at the creation of a namesake label). From power couple dressing (Russell and Ciara Wilson to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky) to avant-garde colour blocking (Colman Domingo and Rual Lopez), the attendees certainly proved that fashion is art.
