Driving boot culture for five decades.
It’s hard to imagine a time when Timberland’s instantly recognisable tree logo wasn’t stamped on the side of nearly every pair of boots you walk past and that is simply a true testament to the lasting impact of the label’s original boot as the classic silhouette turns 50 this year.
Marking the milestone with a full year of celebrations (who can blame them?), Timberland has announced the launch of Future73, a campaign that will see six future makers from across the globe reimagine the Timberland® Premium 6-Inch Boot through their own artistic lens.
Each design as unique as the other, the Timberland® Premium 6-Inch Boot finds itself in unchartered territories with each and every rendition as new and unexpected elements are incorporated throughout from innovative knit technologies to exaggerated rubber soles.
Future73 is made up of Edison Chen (founder of lifestyle brand CLOT), Samuel Ross (founder of A-COLD-WALL*), Suzanne Oude Hengel (founder of Knit In Motion), Nina Chanel Abney (contemporary painter and artist), Humberto Leon (designer, retailer, creative director and restauranteur) and Christopher Raeburn (founder of namesake label RAEBURN).
The Future73 capsules will be released in a series of seven drops throughout 2023 at some of the world’s most influential fashion and streetwear retailers, as well as Timberland® flagship stores and timberland.com.
