Although it isn’t exactly the Yeezy 2, this custom definitely gives it a run for it’s money. JBF customs have given the Nike Air Max 1 an all red luxury red makeover. Lamb skin, python skin, lizard skin and even crocodile skin are just some of the eye catching materials used to construct the premium sneaker. Infamous customiser, Dank Customs, assisted on the job by giving the tassels and midsole that perfect finish. We’re pretty sure this wont be the last all red custom to appear in the months ahead. A bold yet colourful movement from the inspiration of Nike.

Looking good has never been so simple, thanks to the slip-on trend that looks set to make an appearance in every outfit this summer. Anything that makes it easier to roll out of bed in the morning and remain on trend is a definite winner, and that’s exactly what this season’s slip-on shoe gives you.
Californian designer Van Doren took the lead with introducing slip-on shoes with his brand Vans, and has been an inspiration for other brands since the 1960s. Originally brought to the highlight of fashion over the 90s which was due to the skater scene, the slip-ons began to complete other outfits ranging all the way to formal wear.
The re-birth of the retro sneaker is among us, and the classic vans slip-on is at the forefront of its revival. Paired up with its skating heritage the Vans slip on has never looked more at home, and remains so throughout this summer. Dress down with tailored shorts, oversized shirts and show socks, to remain on trend whilst paying homage to the skater tradition.

But for this season, the retro slip-on trainer is even stronger when applied as the finishing touches to more
formal attire. Pair up the black/white classic Vans slip-ons with a skinny, tapered trouser, for a more eye-catching, smart-casual summer silhouette and an all-round edgier approach to the trainers and trousers trend.
Jared Leto is the latest and greatest to match up the slip-on to a formal look, pairing up the classic Vans black/white slip-ons with black skinny’s, floral scarf and tapered jacket to create a perfect monochrome inspired smart-casual blend.
This season the slip-on has taken big steps away from its skater heritage, with brands like Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Lanvin & Alexander McQueen leading with luxury, transforming the typically relaxed slip-on in to something more of a statement shoe.
Keep an eye out for slip-on inspired collaborations this summer. PAUSE loves the Vans x Hermes collaboration, completely reinventing the skater slip-on thanks to some refined, Versace-inspired prints. Spoiler alert: the bespoke Vans are not an official collaboration, so it might be some time before you can slip-in to them- sorry!
