Based around the theme of ship life, Gucci SS15 showcased a sleek collection at at Milan Fashion Week, which included very simple and elegant tailoring.
On the catwalk double-breasted jackets were very prominent, with large button detailing, as well as other statement items such as messenger bags, knitted vests, oversized stripe shirts and distressed jeans, a PAUSE favourite!
With it being a ship life theme, stripes were without doubt featured in the collection. Big bold lines were found decorating their blazers, trousers and also stripe detailing was found on their messenger bags. Forget thin and subtle, thick lines with blocks of colour is Gucci’s spring/summer approach.
SS15 colours for the designer brand are dark teals, whites, dark beiges, reds and navy.
As noted in our LCM: Burberry SS15 Collection article, the ‘mankle’ trend was out in force again for the Gucci catwalk, allowing them to showcase their latest footwear offering of white loafers and canvas trainers. A raised trouser length means more impetus on the shoes, and is a trend that PAUSE definitely approves of.
