Burberry Prorsum presented its Spring/Summer 2016 collection at London Collections: Men.

Christopher Bailey once again elevates the creativity within the new Burberry Prorsum SS16 collection that has us here at PAUSE dreaming of their woven cotton lace in their navy and mustard colour palette bringing the classic Burberry Gentleman into the 21st century.

Known for their high attention to detail once again Burberry did not fail – hiring artisans to bring Bailey’s dream to life leaves us with a yearning for the simple yet gorgeous traditional almost couture detailing. The traditional silhouette of tailoring was shown throughout the collection, but with the subtle lace references gave the garments a modern edge that complimented the colour palette, particularly with the lace collar on the classic trench coat. Each piece carries on the famous Burberry look but Bailey has perfectly adapted and modified them to fit the fashionably dandified London man about town.
Bailey of course manages to combine casual with formal in the collection displaying cashmere knit joggers with silk t-shirts, giving the Burberry man a new casually chic look whilst remaining on top of his game for SS16. One word to describe it – gorgeous. PAUSE acknowledges the work and dedication that Bailey has consistently put into his collections whilst keeping Burberry up to date on trend and creating them.
