Nike’s latest SC High commemorates the summer Olympics of ’96.
The unusual colourway alone is enough to get our attention. Lately Nike has been favouring monochrome designs on their footwear, so seeing the SC High flying the Atlantic colours is a welcome break from black and white. These sneakers are styled in emerald green leather and suede with gold detailing. Nike have embroidered a peach on the left tongue to rep the host city and their own namesake, in gold, on the right. ‘Nike’ branding is also wreathed on the heel. The sneakers are finished off with a kaleidoscopic outsole and, if you were worried they wouldn’t be lively enough, they glow in the dark too.
You can expect them in the Nike store from the 19th July.
