Mixing old with the new.
To celebrate Nike’s annual Air Max Day; a day created to celebrate the one of the sports brand’s most celebrated sneaker model, Nike unveiled a number of new Air Max collaboration sneakers including a new Heron Preston designed sneaker.
With the DONDA graduate applying his own unique eclectic spin to the Nike Air Max 720 silhouette, the New York-based designer’s reimagined version features a hybrid cross between a Nike Air Max 95 upper and the curvy Nike Air Max 720 mid and outersole. Sporting a minimal design that’s available in a hot orange colourway, the hybrid sneaker features the iconic Swoosh on the lateral sides, toebox, as well as on the back of the sneaker.
Heron also took to Instagram to tease an icy blue version of what looks like to be a reworked Air Max 95 model.
