Shhh... there's a new way to beat the rain.
lululemon is switching up its approach to performance outerwear with “Silent Type”, a new collab with GORE-TEX that puts comfort and quieter fabrics right in the spotlight, come rain or shine.
Designed around GORE-TEX’s latest ePE membrane, the range offers waterproof, windproof and breathable protection, with specially developed outer fabrics and brushed tricot linings providing a softer finish while reducing the usual rustling sounds and stiff feel usually found in tech jackets.
Three styles make up the offering: a rain jacket, a longer raincoat and a waterproof down jacket. Available across men’s and women’s sizing, the selection brings together clean styling with practical details, including sealed seams, multiple pockets and relaxed silhouettes. What’s more, the down option also packs 700-fill-power goose down for warmth in temperatures as low as -20°C.
lululemon’s “Silent Type’” collection will launch exclusively at nine BEAMS locations across Japan, with an initial drop at three Tokyo stores on 13 November, followed by a wider launch on 3 December. Those picking up a selected piece can also bag a limited-edition “Back to Life” sports bottle, available to the first 30 customers at each store.
