Last Tuesday PAUSE saw the first preview of the L’homme de Maison spring/summer 2014 collection which launched at Club Ten on the 4th of February 2014. Two Footballers Leon Best and Colin Kazim Richards collaborated with a Dutch designer Brian Nickson to create a debut collection of distinctive high-end men’s high tops and low tops. The high quality collection isn’t just a sneaker collection, but one that consists of detailed embossed crocodile and snake prints in a range of dynamic colours for the luxurious super sneaker head.
The launch party was hosted by Reggie Yates, and saw performances from celebrity’s such as Rough Copy, Kano, Wretch 32 and Lethal Bizzle.
Best said of the project, “Shoes are a passions of mine and I have wanted to launch my own high end men’s fashion brand for a long time. I wanted to create a shoe that could be worn everyday but that also wouldn’t look out of place on a night out. Working on this collection alongside Brian and Colin has given me a great artistic outlet and I am really pleased with our final collection.”
Nickson added, “Leon, Colin and I work well together because we all appreciate the same things aesthetically – a refined and contemporary look. Aesthetics and comfort are equally important; each pair of our shoes are fashion forward and of high quality, produced using the best materials delivering the ultimate in comfort and fit. I’m excited about the demand we’ve already had and we are already busy working together on the next collection.”
We at PAUSE love the clean simplistic all-white sneakers, and definitely see the sneakers being a one-to-watch this year!
