It’s polka dots galore for the Opening Ceremony & Jonathan Horowitz “DOTS” Collection.
Opening Ceremony will debut a capsule collection in partnership with renowned contemporary artist Jonathan Horowitz, concurrent with his exhibition at 356 Mission. Horowitz is a renowned artist whose art combines the imagery and ambivalence of Pop art with the engaged criticality of conceptualism.
For this capsule collection, it will be taking inspiration from Horowotz’s large-scale project, “590 Dots”. The unisex collection features Horowitz’s “DOTS” fabric pattern, transformed into a tote bag, a field jacket, and a five-pocket denim pant. When you look closely and scrutinize every dot on the print, no two dots in the pattern are the same and this repetition gives the illusion of endless variation which makes this collection extremely unique.
This limited, three-piece collection will be sold at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles and Opening Ceremony Online store.
