NYFWM: Todd Snyder Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection

Inspired by college campuses.

Before launching his own label, Todd Snyder used to be a senior designer for the likes of Polo Ralph Lauren and Gap. Inspired by the clothes he and his peers used to wear as university students in Iowa when they discovered The Smiths and The Cure, his collection includes trendy pieces such as burgundy velour track top, mock turtlenecks and elongated coats. The inspiration drawn from college campuses and cool vintage finds in charity shops is also visible in his washed plaid shirts and retro sweaters.

To describe his collection, he said: “I took varsity, military and prep, put it all in a blender and this is what came out.”  We, at PAUSE, definitely like what came out of it, especially the burgundy tracksuit. Todd Snyder also presented a few pieces from his collaborations with Private White and Champion.
