Balenciaga takeover 18th June – 5th August 2017.
Demna Gvasalia, creative director at Balenciaga is the first to take over the trendy Paris concept store Colette in a new series of guest slots.
The artistic takeover will include a specially designed inward-facing window display featuring street views of several cities worldwide. Gvasalia is also bringing in an art installation called CAKE by Berlin-based artist Yngve Holen comprising of a Porsche Panarama cut into four pieces.
The centrepiece will be the men’s Fall collection inspired by corporate culture along with a selection of womenswear pieces curated from fabrics and colours from the men’s line. Along with this there will be a range of exclusive novelty items plastered with the Balenciaga logo including mugs and sleeping masks.
A Balenciaga Copy Centre’ will also be set-up to add to the ‘officecore’ spirit of the menswear line. Customers will be able to customise t-shirts and hoodies with a selection of graphics thanks to two digital garment printers. These are limited to 900 pieces between 19th June and 10th July.
Mei Kwajiri, the Balenciaga nail artist will be offering free manicures between 2nd – 6th July if you needed a reason to convince your girlfriend.
