ASAP Charged in Sweden.
Following his arrest on July 2nd in connection with an assault incident in Stockholm, Sweden just a few days before, ASAP Rocky has been officially charged and is expected to appear in court in the next few days.
While many fans and celebrities alike have signed petitions requesting his freedom, even President Donald Trump’s attempts were no more successful despite initial tweets that may have suggested otherwise. Speaking on the decision to charge the American artist, Daniel Suneson spoke on behalf of the public prosecutors;
“I have today commenced criminal proceedings against the three individuals suspected of assault causing actual bodily harm, having come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime and despite claims of self-defence and provocation. It is worth noting that I have had access to a greater amount of material than that which has previously been available on the internet. In addition to video material, the injured party’s statements have been supported by witness statements.”
