A Futuristic Take on Cosy.
Italian sportswear label ellesse recently unveiled a collaborative collection with British designer Liam Hodges which turns to the brand’s expansive snow-sports archive and reimagines it for the contemporary AW19 wardrobe.
Comprising thirteen pieces of apparel complemented with two footwear silhouettes, the concise offering sees classic ski jacket, trouser, t-shirt and tracksuit designs tweaked to align with the futuristic aesthetic the British upstart has become known for. The footwear offerings perpetuate the vibe by fusing classic snow and moon boot styles with sneaker details such as velcro straps and rubber soles. Speaking on the partnership, Hodges elaborated;
“I think its really exciting that you get a brand like ellesse who want to work with a brand like me, whereby they aren’t just re-hashing their past, they are actually looking further forward to developing something and looking further to the future.”
