Pairing heritage designs with Virgil Abloh’s contemporary lens, Louis Vuitton recently unveiled its Pre-Spring/Summer 2020 leather goods collection titled ‘Monogram Legacy.’
Drawing inspiration from Louis Vuitton archive pieces, the collection features five unique pieces which draw inspiration from Louis Vuitton archive pieces reimagined by the luxury houses artistic director for menswear. Combining Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram canvas leather with tanned VVN leather, the Virgil Abloh designed range includes a new Milk Box bag that features a unique top-opening and chain closure, the Phone Box, a small pouch for daily essentials which is decked out with monogrammed canvas, VVN leather and hardware detailing. With several signature Abloh design codes, the range is rounded out with the Cabas Voyage tote bag, and large Steamer PM, which is both finished with monogrammed leather and Abloh’s signature chain and safety pin closure system.
