Marc Jacobs’ high-flying sub-label Heaven have stepped forward with another capsule collection to round out the year, unveiling their Wong Kar-wai inspired pieces.
Having previously dropped their ‘Technicolour Dream’ capsule and collaborative range with Dr. Martens, Heaven by Marc Jacobs are back at it again as the youthful sub-brand team up with Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai for a capsule that celebrates his 1990s films Fallen Angels (1995) and Happy Together (1997). Keeping their typical graphic-heavy aesthetic, Heaven’s latest creative venture sees a range of t-shirts, vests, crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies, dresses, skirts, and accessories up for grabs, with Kar-wai’s best quotable script moments and movie stills being spread across the range. Some standouts from the released range include a simple black and red long-sleeved “Fallen Angels” spell-out jumper, a patchwork-style long-sleeved mesh top adorned with various Wong Kar-wai movie stills, as well as a cropped hoodie that features “love you for 10,000 years” text from Kar-wai’s hit Chungking Express (1994) film.
