Monochrome Mastery.
Having initially debuted in 2003, Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas mark their 20-year partnership with a collaborative Stan Smith that stays true to the iconic sneaker silhouette. Previous iterations have seen additional details such as a zipper being included, however, this time around, the collaboration stays true to the legendary model with only a few subtle changes.
As part of the returning Y’s for Men line, the sneaker features a high-contrast colourway with a premium white leather upper and laces against a black midsole and tongue. Stan Smith’s face, which is consistently seen across all of the sneakers, is replaced by Yohji Yamamoto’s, underneath some script that reads “Endorsed By”. Other unique details include the Japanese designer’s branding on the heel as well as his signature stamped on the luxurious white insoles.
These sneakers are set to release in the summer so stay tuned for more release information.
