Arriving This Week.
After having only announced the collaborative effort earlier this week, Stüssy and Martine Rose have now full unveiled all of the pieces from the upcoming release.
Taking in the sights of 2023, both Stüssy and Martine Rose have come together for an aptly executed joint collection that channels the former’s longstanding affection for the automotive world, with Martine Rose’s attention to detail being tastefully scattered throughout. In the released look book shot by prevalent photographer Rosie Marks, the Spring 2023 release features nods to London culture as we find classic cars like the Nissan GTR, Volkswagen Golf MK1 and the interior of a Mercedes-AMG model – which is seen playing Raye and 070 Shake’s chart-topping song “Escapism” – act as the creative base of the campaign video and imagery. Discussing the pieces themselves, the duo place focus on decorative pieces, with a furry leopard-print steering wheel cover, multicoloured co-branded air fresheners, a rich yellow fringed car decoration, Stüssy 8-ball and Martine Rose-branded striped car mats, as well as a black and white graphic sun visor plastered in Rose’s inspirations taking the floor. Some garments included in the soon-to-release collection include standout mixed mesh and leather driving gloves with patchwork co-branding and a black, green, yellow and red colour scheme, classic t-shirts – as well as graphic iterations – adorned with simplistic Stüssy x Martine Rose branding, in addition to ‘Black’ and ‘Tan’ shaded hoodies.
