Pace hits all the perfect notes with its Spring/Summer 2024 collection as the Brazilian streetwear label explores the concept of enharmony in music in which different notes produce the same sound. Titled ‘Sustenido e Bemol Explorer’, meaning Sharp and Flat Explorer in Portuguese, the collection delves into the intersectionality of Creative Director Felipe Matayoshi’s roots – he is grandson to the first generation of Japanese people from the Island of Okinawa in Brazil.
In the spirit of duality, form and function work seamlessly with one another while contemporary aesthetics and innovation are embraced alongside the label’s heritage. Materials are sourced from both Brazil and Japan with manufacturing performed locally in Sao Paulo. ‘Sustenido e Bemol Explorer’ is an overall display of commitment to aligning story and substance through relatable streetwear designs.
