We’d totally understand if a conversation between some of the acting world’s finest talent and a human-size flower isn’t quite what you had in mind when you envisioned Prada’s campaign for Fall/Winter 2023 but, it’s a lot more intimate than what appears at first glance. An ageless symbol of beauty, the flower is seen as the embodiment of the Italian fashion house’s timeless values of humanity.
Capturing an impossible sequence of surreal conversations, both visual and literal, the otherworldly campaign evokes real emotion through its seemingly unreal imagery – photographed by Willy Vanderperre. Behind its metaphorical themes, Prada’s long-standing relationship with cinema withstands. Its cast of big-screen icons includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Hunter Schafer, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Letitia Wright, and Li Xian.
