To mark 50 years of globally impacting the worlds of art, music and fashion, FARFETCH has launched ‘FARFETCH BEAT 010’ in celebration of Hip Hop and the genre’s rich history.
Born out of exclusive collaborations with lifestyle brand 12on12, rap icon Nas, and graffiti legend Futura, the concept series will span three separate vinyl drops over three months with each accompanied by 12 signed Futura art prints and 20 co-signed vinyl records with hand-finished jacket sleeves. Its final release will culminate in an original triptych design that blends each artwork into one distinct piece, titled ‘FUTURE LOOK FOR FLASH’.
For BEAT 010, Nas has also curated a 12on12 vinyl collection made up of the 12 most influential tracks of the past five decades.
“In celebration of the now 50th year of ‘HIP HOP’ I am excited to participate with Nas in the release of this “12 on 12”; a compilation of selected tracks from the history of this movement. The cover artwork, and handstyles, are a nod to my past and a reflection of the future,” said Futura.
FARFETCH BEAT is now exclusively available on FARFETCH and Stadium Goods featuring 500 vinyls with the 20 co-signed vinyls ready to pre-order.
