For the High-Top Lovers.
Transcending the boundaries of sneaker culture, notwoways’ fifth release sees co-founder Rockwell Princely translate his Surinamese roots into a heartfelt design that marks the label’s first-ever foray into the high-top market. Its name derived from the Surinamese word meaning ‘to go for a walk’, KOYRI honours both brand heritage and its followers, juxtaposing its nostalgic narrative with a range of innovative features.
Meticulously crafted in premium white leather with light grey suede overlays and an ergonomically designed outsole (taken from the brand’s Formula model), the ankle-length silhouette boasts an extended orange sole arrow that guards the heel from any abrasion while contrasting pops of orange, black, and ice blue arrive as a subtle nod to NTW’s inaugural release for those in the know. Rounded out with a nylon mesh collar, asymmetric tongue and a concealed velcro pocket, they’re a seamless exploration of old-meets-new.
Set to drop on September 14th via the notwoways website, KOYRI is so much more than a shoe.
