You’ve probably already seen the posters starring the likes of Kano, Stormzy, Jude Bellingham, and Jenna Ortega plastered around town as part of adidas Originals’ ‘We Gave The World An Original. You Gave Us A Thousand Back’ global campaign. Well, you can also expect to be seeing singer-songwriters Sam Fender and Joy Crookes on the side of every brick wall you come across from now on as the pair join the campaign’s ridiculous roster of trailblazers in celebration of the historic sportswear brand’s long history of driving self-expression.
“We attach adidas with the history of Newcastle…you know if you love something then that’s the most original thing you can do,” says Geordie hero, Sam Fender.
Sharing what being an Orignal means to them in their respective fields, the campaign features three short films and an array of stills that each tell the inspiring stories of how three of the label’s most iconic silhouettes – the Superstar, the Gazelle, and the Samba – came to influence past, present, and future generations.
