"Performance is my Lifestyle."
Action Bronson is proving he’s far from stuck in his ways as a footwear designer, debuting a first look at a duo of unreleased New Balance FuelCell Rebel v4 and Minimus sneakers.
The here, there and everywhere musician come footwear designer Action Bronson is back at it again alongside New Balance, continuing the mega sportswear label’s history of enlisting talented musicians to venture into the design world. Following up his hit 1906R range that came out earlier this year, Action Bronson looks further afield for this new double dose of New Balance, highlighting two low-flying silhouettes in the form of the FuelCell Rebel v4 & Minimus sneakers, both of which lean into the brand’s more performance-focused identity. Providing an up close look via his social media, Action Bronson’s vibrant design DNA is spread across these pairs, with both silhouettes featuring various shadings of muted blue, yellow, grey, and clay brown. The initial Minimus sneaker – titled “PLUTO” – leans into the silhouette’s storied history as a hiking and running sneaker, with thick striped laces working with a robust toe guard and a heavy sole grip to underline the outdoor “Gorp” stylings. The FuelCell Rebel v4 opts for a more futuristic approach, with the streamlined pair contrasting an action-ready clay brown midfoot design with a modernised New Balance “N” logo, with a 3-D ridged midsole cushioning unit adding extra detail to the sculpted pair.
No release information has been shared for these pairs as of yet. Stay tuned to PAUSE for updates.
