Reversible-ish.
MSCHF isn’t one to shy away from the wacky and ridiculous, and their latest BWD High continues this school of thought.
The story behind these reversible trainers is a complicated. The “designed to be worn back to front” idea began with the BWD, a sneaker with a weird lacing system which can be slipped into through the usual process, or from the toe box. Then came the FWD which was simply a one way sneaker, although weird in its own right. Their latest iteration merges the FWD silhouette design with the BWD dual wearability.
As seen on the models in the brand imagery, wearers can slip the shoe on over the top like a normal high top sneaker, or through the tox box as a comfortable sandal. The sneaker itself features retro accents like a volt coloured gradient along the midsole, a thick pull tab, velcro strap across the ankle.
The sneakers drop on MSCHF’s website on September 24th for $200 USD. Check out imagery on the right.
