The eponymous label, Kody Phillips and Intuit Turbo Tax join forces to create a five piece capsule collection: a convergence between entrepreneurship and artistry.
Inspired by the garments worn by Kody and his team in the studio, the “Behind the Design” collaboration reimagines classic, workwear silhouettes for the creative class. Whether it is splattered with paint or subtly distressed, each piece is meticulously crafted with a strong commitment to detail. Traditional suiting fabrics are replaced with textured denim and breathable cotton creating a modern pantsuit that is resilient for the working day.
Kody’s interpretation of the modern pantsuit is comprised of the Embellished Lasso Shirt, a Kody Phillips bestseller, that has now been updated with a braided, two-tone piping alongside the Double Wide Pants in exaggerated proportions that stays true to the brand’s DNA.
A bespoke, antique, garment clasp in K.P’s initials, that has been in development for the past few years, is anchored onto the Firemen Jacket. It features wide lapels and front panel pockets with a matching zipper hardware. K.P’s initials are also embroidered on the three-tiered Lasso Cap with contrast piping. Featuring an airbrushed Kory Phillips logo, the Graphic T-Shirt includes a subtle nod to Turbo Tax’s check emblem.
Each piece has been fitted with a custom label dedicated to the Grand Street in SoHo, New York City, where the collection initially debuted in Turbo Tax’s flagship store. Their experts are there at hand to offer a personalised, tax filing experience that is designed to provide accessibility and support to modern entrepreneurs.
