A. A. Spectrum’s FW26 Collection Revisits 1990s China

By March 26, 2026FASHION NEWS

An exploration of 1990s China.

A.A. Spectrum has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, “Canopy Lowered, a concept built around brief but meaningful moments of connection.

The title draws from an old Chinese gesture, where one carriage would lower its canopy when passing another, a quiet sign of respect and acknowledgement. Here, it’s used as a wider metaphor for cultural exchange and instant understanding.

The collection itself looks to 1990s China, a period where traditional references met growing global influence. Rather than blending the two, A.A. Spectrum leans into the tension, reflecting a generation shaped by both.

Archive cues come through in reworked school tracksuits, padded outerwear and nylon shells, all updated with cleaner silhouettes and more considered fabrication. The result feels grounded in its references without slipping into nostalgia. The collection itself positions the past as a point of dialogue, not something fixed, but something to be reinterpreted.

Take a look at some of the campaign imagery below.
