If the Suit Fits: Regular Fit

By December 24, 2012Style

PAUSE has something in its Christmas stocking that all of you sneaker fanatics will drool over. In preparation for the season of giving, legendary footwear retailer Nike has launched the Air Jordan Retro 11 from the popular basketball line that first appeared back in 1996.

Although the sneaker has brought back its classic red, white and black colour-way, it is certain that this throwback will sell in an instant whether it be to dedicated fans or Jordan-newbies. The blend of patent leather and mesh fabric gives us the opportunity to at least get a small taste of what it feels like to be champion, on and off the court.

Baller or not, be sure to treat yourself before the year ends.

The year is rapidly coming to a close and it is certain that everyone is now focusing on the sales, as well as last-minute purchases for 2012. But before you raid every high street store for the perfect additions to your wardrobe that won’t empty your wallet, PAUSE recommends that you gather all of your Christmas pennies and get your hands on a worthwhile luxury tee.

Whether it is the gold zip detail on the shoulders or the unmissable bold tartan print used, Marq Rise takes the spotlight with his new oversized t-shirt. As basic as the clothing sounds, the design is everything you need to make a statement and end the year with a fashionable explosion.

Though the price may seem to be its downfall, we can assure you that due to the high quality and exclusivity of the t-shirt, you would have to be crazy to miss out.

When did suit shopping become so confusing? What should be a simple task of walking into a shop and picking up a suit that is your size, has now been complicated by the myriads of suit shapes, colours and materials. But have no fear, MasterNath is here. If the Suit Fits will be (or, hopefully will be) your ultimate guide to tailoring, thus banishing confusion forever.

Let’s get started with the Regular fit suit. This is the classic of all suit fits. Broader than a slim fit suit in the jacket and the trousers, the Regular fit suits those who are not Topman model material, i.e., those broader than a rake. Because it has more room, this style of suit is better for those who are quite active whilst wearing their suit.

Regular 137-677-X50s

Before you go out and buy a Regular fit suit, look at the number of buttons on the jacket. If it has more than two buttons, put the jacket down, and calmly walk away. Although nineties fashion has somehow managed to creep back into the twenty tens almost unnoticed, the three button suit jacket should only be seen on Fresh Prince re-runs. Also, look at the shape of the jacket. Some Regular fit jackets are cut straight from the armpit, whilst others fit closer around the waist. If you’re not on the chunky side, make sure your jacket is cut closer to your waist.

Just remember, Regular fit suits are best for those who are broad and those who want to be comfortable. If you tick those boxes, go forth and buy.
