PAUSE Picks: Shirts & Blazers

A new year never comes empty-handed and this upcoming year is definitely not looking to disappoint. As always, your look is due to develop with new and exciting trends, prints and colours of the season that we here at PAUSE are prepared to ease you into. Starting with shirts & blazers, we’ve got a variety for you to choose, mix, match and get inspiration from.

First up is this £40 Blazer from H&M. The navy blue colour is set to be on trend next season with splashes of blue tones all over SS13 Collections from designers like Acne and Phillip Lim 3.1. This could easily be paired with a navy tee for the smart casual style or for a formal contrast, a fresh white shirt; a classic designers have been playing with this season.

This £350 Jil Sander knitted too is a great substitute for a blazer. Again, the navy blue and white contrast keeps things trendy whilst the hex print adds not too eye-popping detail to a plain outfit. A great alternative for the man who doesn’t like to dress up too much, the hex print tee gives a casual look to an otherwise formal style.

Stripes are back! Whether block, thin or thick they’re yet another one of the common sights in multiple SS13 mens collections. This £95 navy charcoal tweed panel shirt from Urban Outfitters is highly recommended. Buy it in a couple of sizes larger for that over sized fit and pair with some tailored olive shorts or simply some slim fit tailored trousers and your ready to go!

Marc Jacobs £365 blazer plays on the continuation of the military trend. The dapper though still worthy of a street style title design is in a rich olive tone that if paired with the right print shirt and matching shorts would come together to create the perfect SS13 look. Or; for an urban spin, team the shorts-blazer combo with a primary coloured hoody and some air max 1’s.

Simple detail is sometimes the best detail and this Zara shirt is proof of this. The metal collar detail is a twist on the classic white shirt that will spruce up many shirt-blazer combinations. For only £22.99 in sale, isn’t to mean to your budget. Also, this £27 floral panel shirt from Reclaimed Vintage would go great with navy double-breasted blazer for a more relaxed occasion.

Last but not least is this checked blazer from Tiger Of Sweden. Perfect for the smart casual look of SS13 when contrasted with a black tee or even thrown on with a turtle neck.
