With the surge of Basketball trainers transcending across the pond from the States to the streets of the UK (predominately Jordan’s & Lebron’s), Nike have refreshingly come out with this exciting summer pack of NYC Baseball sneakers. Celebrating the coming together of the MLB’s finest baseball players this year in NYC’s ‘The Midsummer Classic’, Nike presents the big apple’s editions of Air Trainer SC High & Air Griffey Max One. Paying homage to this year’s ‘The Midsummer Classic’, the pair appropriately features the NYC logo to the tongue and heel.
The Air Trainer SC High embodies a reflective grid pattern, reminiscent to the sphere located in the host’s city borough of Queens. A speckled midsole atop a university blue lower, details the shoe and offers a trainer relevant to current UK trends.
The Air Griffey Max One comes equipped with a grey nylon mesh upper, with white leather and black nubuck accents. In keeping with the SC High, the chunky sole features a white speckled pattern, finished with the famous Nike air units across the sole.
