Collaboration News: Bartmans & Siegal x River Island

By April 11, 2014Fashion News

LC:M favourites and London based design duo Bartmans & Siegal are back on our radars this season as they are set to release a collection in collaboration with high-street brand River Island’s design forum initiative.

4The Anglo-Dutch pair are known for their traditional tailoring merged with sportswear influences to create effortless, easy designs. The 12 piece collection will focus on a strong masculine protagonist, with a sharp look at outerwear and tailoring, and will include accessories and footwear. To celebrate the launch, River Island will be presenting a fashion film, which will be showcased during LC:M in June.

“When working on the concept for the collection we felt it was important for us to carry through our identity of indulgent masculinity with our signature fabrics and refined classic silhouettes. River Island’s responsiveness and huge industry network has allowed us to maintain our high level of craftsmanship which has been most refreshing. We have also been able to explore new technical aspects that we have wished to create for some time, which has been key in helping to create an accessible wardrobe with effortless style.” – Bartmans & Siegal.

Lucky for our readers, PAUSE has a sneak preview of the coming collection, in the form of illustrations. Appearing to be strong and assertive, the collaborative collection is influenced by the dark, dystopian works of author Phillip K Dick and director Michael Mann. From what we can see by these sketches, this collection is going to be a sell-out.
