It’s a dark minimalistic world that Alexander Wang has created for the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2015 collection, featuring black, grey and blue hues.
A very quiet and understated take on menswear with a utilitarian feel, Wang has captured the essence of classic French tailoring mixed with his own urban streetwear spin. Though dark in nature, the collection uses luxe fabrics on basic pieces making every piece more desirable. Sharp lines with minimal details can be seen as the Balenciaga man seem to be in a dark place while doing some soul-searching.
This is one collection that is subtly cool, crisp, clean and quintessentially Wang.
