Plus a first look at the new house logo.
Ricardo Tisci and Burberry recently unveiled, through an Instagram post, the new “Thomas Burberry” monogram print inspired by the brand’s archives.
Announced through a picture of an email thread between Burberry’s Creative Director, Riccardo Tisci, and graphic designer Peter Saville, the new monogram takes its name from the label’s founder. This new monogram print features a repeated “B” logo atop a gold background, with woven orange lines linking the reiterated “B”. As seen on the picture, the new print is expected to be used on invitations for Burberry’s SS19 show at London Fashion Week.
Again announced through an Instagram post, Tisci and Burberry also offered a first look at the fashion house’s new logo. Also designed by Peter Saville, the new Burberry logo dons a bolder, more modern text as the original branding, and but now with “London England” in the same font.
