Located on the 38th floor of the Novotel Canary Wharf,
Bōkan Bar has just launched a new cocktail menu.
This is inspired by Docklands, the local area.
With 360-degree views of London,
it offers some of the best views in town.
I jumped straight on the Monkey King,
Mount Gay Black Rum, banana, hazelnut and bitters.
I then went for their newest edition, Alexander the Great.
It’s a sweet combination of Arbikie AKS Gin, Aperol,
Cinnamon syrup, lime juice, Rosemary and tonic foam.
Although a large venue, each seating area feels intimate.
I was sat by a corner window. The happy and informative staff were
on hand to make recommendations. I rarely need advice on cocktails but
the menu is new and signature to the bar. Created by Bar Manager Peter Merheb
and his mixology team. I wish I was at that tasting!
Bōkan offers a range of bar snacks. There is also a restaurant on the floor below.
Do try and get there before sunset as it’s stunning and makes for a perfect setting for evening drinks and dinner.
I recommend for a celebration. Opened till late every night. See below for more info.
